We set out to build a space that makes parenting feel easier—and a lot more joyful. A place where families can spend real time together, without parents having to put their goals or passions on pause.
We didn’t want “good enough.” We obsessed over every detail—from the layout and play areas to the food and services—so it could truly support both kids and grown-ups.
In 2019, after a year of dreaming, designing, and testing, we opened our first BOK location. The response was incredible—parents and kids embraced the concept. Now, we’re proud to have three locations and a growing community.

We absolutely love it!
I usually visit this place with my baby once a week, and we absolutely love it! It’s very spacious and clean, and I really like how the play areas are divided by age groups. The location inside Walmart is also super convenient, as one parent can do the grocery shopping while the other spends quality time playing with the baby.
The best play cafe in Edmonton
This play cafe is the best I’ve been to in Edmonton. The environment is so inviting, spacious, clean and beautiful. It feels calm and happy inside and has everything a kiddo needs to have a blast.
Perfect place to work while kids play
The best and most quiet play cafe for me. Visited here with my 6 and 3 year old and both had so much fun they don’t want to leave! If you prefer a place where you could also do some work (and eat and have coffee) while the kids play, this is the perfect place for you!
A hidden gem in South Common
We’re so lucky to have Bok cafe near our home! Located in South Common Walmart is a hidden gem of a play place. The play structure is soft, imagination areas are so fun, my son has a safe place to explore!!
Safe and very well maintained
We had such a wonderful experience here with my almost 2-year-old! She was able to explore, climb, run around, and play independently, while I felt comfortable knowing the space was safe and very well maintained.
Something for everyone
Bok Play Cafe is such a fun experience! Both my kids love it and it feels like there's something for everyone. The coffee is great, and it feels so spacious and clean. Awesome space, great concept!
Lots of options to keep kids entertained
A very nice and fun place for kids, with lots of options to keep them entertained. As parents, we liked that the menu is extensive and has plenty to choose from. The staff is very friendly and also bilingual (English–Spanish), which makes the experience even better.

What a great find! Clean, fun and full of playful options for our little toddler. The owners are very helpful and went over and above to serve us. Food was priced well and delicious. We will be back and bring friends with us.

I can’t even explain the magic of this place — it’s truly amazing! They have different stations like grocery shopping, firefighting, a kitchen, and even a hospital. My baby absolutely loves it!
Such a hidden gem!
Bok Cafe is such a hidden gem! We hosted our daughter’s 5th birthday here and chose one of the party packages (Adopt a Pet). When we arrived, I was so pleasantly surprised to see the room already decorated with a pet theme, it was absolutely adorable.

Lots to do for all the kids
We came here for the first time for a birthday party and had a blast. There was lots to do for all the kids from dress up to the indoor play structure and slides. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Easy to book, great communication
We held our 4 year olds birthday party here. It was easy to book our date and communication before the event was great. Food, numbers and other details were confirmed shortly after we booked and they even will create a custom invitation for you.
A lovely, family-friendly place
We had a wonderful time at Bookcafe Play today celebrating my daughter’s birthday. We took some beautiful family photos and really enjoyed our time together. The staff were very helpful, respectful, and welcoming. It’s a lovely place with a great family-friendly environment.
